Reflective

A puddle in a field.

I set my camera up on one side of the puddle and stood on the other side, this image is flipped from how the camera saw it.

Incidentally, this puddle is in the remnants of a large hole that some friends and I dug in the middle of the night during a sleep over when we were 12 years old. The idea was to dig this deep hole and build a fort inside of the hole. We got down pretty deep, but we hadn't thought about the fact that a deep hole in the ground would gather water. Within a day or two, even though there had been no rain, our hole had become a nice little mud hole and any further thoughts about building a fort under ground were squashed.

Now, sixteen years later this slight indentation in the ground is all that remains of that adolescent fantasy. Ironically, it still does a pretty good job of holding water though.
