Ghost In The Shell | 2008

Collection: Ghost In The Shell series (1995-2008)
As a Sci-Fi enthusiast I was quite surprised at not discovering Ghost In The Shell earlier.
It all began in '07 when I introduced myself to Japanese Animation and in particular the film "Appleseed" (2004). Impressed with it, I did some further independent research and in turn discoved GITS. Both properties were concieved by Shirow Masume. I was able to acquire the whole collection pretty much in one hit. It was then pretty easy to immerse.
Flashback***
I've known of the title for many years, friends recommending it - encouraging me to watch, but only in recent times have I given time to it.
They had said "Joz, you'll like it!".
I said dismissively "yeah... later..."
Then I did eventually watch it and then they said "Told ya you'd like it".
Indeed.
I try to complement my video/book collections with a statue or artifact. Yes more dust collecting, I know... but it makes the shelves in my study a little bit more interesting yet in theme. This statue is of Motoko Kusanagi. She's one of the primary characters in the GITS universes. She's cyberized.
Well anyway. It's recommended viewing if you like cyber-post-war-techno-punk.
