'61 Chevy

My grandfather stands beside my uncle's then-new 1961 Impala sometime around Easter that year. Sadly, he was killed in an April snowstorm 52 years ago today, shortly after this photo was taken.

 

Our subdivision, in the background, was still in its early years of development - all the vacant lots shown are now homes and trees.
