The newer Automatics ran on 3 volts instead of 4.5 - so I only needed to cram a 2x AAA holder in there. I didn't count on the plastic clips being a bitch to remove though - the older ones are much easier to snap out. The dark green plastic of these cameras is some kind of fibrous material that I ultimately ended up melting with the soldering iron because I couldn't get it to cleanly snap out; this ended up being far more intrusive than the 100 and 250 swaps, but it works, so whatever. I covered my mess up with some thick rubber tape, which also keeps the holder from bouncing around.
