Lakehurst Twilight

Pardon the crap processing job on this; I originally shot it with the white balance on my ancient point-and-pray on some weird setting that made this turn out completely blue. This was the best I could do, and I'm surprised I could even salvage this into something barely-usable.

 

Here we see the Lakehurst Mall sign just within a month of its demolition in early 2007. From about 2005 until then, the owner of the former Silo and La-Z-Boy stores was using it as a "For Rent" sign; it outlasted the mall itself by a whole five years. A month later, it was dismantled.

 

In the background is a former Silo Electronics store, which was recently facelifted beyond recognition after Powerhouse vacated a few years ago.
