Pinsetter Replacement 2012
For the first 25 or so lanes we pulled just about all of the pin holders that were recently-instaled or were still in good condition. After we had quite a hoard going, we finally tossed the rest, but stripped all of them of electronics, as they can be used on the newer machines (we had three huge boxes full of solenoids, one went to another center). The newer machines have a different-style pin holder that uses fewer parts, but the same electronics. I managed to find, and kept the first one I built.
As the holders were junk, the tables themselves were pretty much useless on the new machines, as well. I think, off of those, we only kept the mounting bolts that were installed after the originals broke somewhere down the line. These machines ran for 21 years--twice their expected lifespan.
