SHOT BY PAINTBALL!

Last night my brother and I went to see a movie at the IMAX in Lincolnshire. I missed the turn to continue on 45 and ended up on 83. As we were getting into a turn lane just south of Rt. 22 to make a U-turn, we heard a loud pop. I didn't think much of it until I got out of the car and went to the trunk and found a huge splatter of sticky residue all over the trunk and D-pillar!

 

Initially I thought it was birdshit and immediately went to wipe it off. After clearing the residue I almost wanted to cry after seeing and feeling this huge scuff in the paint on the D-pillar! The debris from the impact also left deep scratches on my trunk lid.

 

Called the insurance guy and went to the local body shop, and we finally determined the only thing that could've made such a perfectly-round chip in the paint, and splatter as such, would be a paintball. So, tomorrow I'm probably going to the police. Fucking great!

 

Making matters worse, my Fiero will now likely miss most of this car show season as I'm now about to drop a few hundred for a paint job.
