Despite the barrage of signage, the H&R Block appears to be the only active tenant on this block (gone as of 2012)
The Mecca Building in the middle was originally constructed in the 20s as the Gary Theatre. It received the modern facade probably mid-century, and appears to be mostly, if not completely vacant.
The vacant Sheraton Hotel is in the background. The rooftop tower is for Gary-Chicago Airport.
