Stand-Up
Iron Wolf is a stand-up coaster, a novelty that started in the 80s with TOGO and Arrow, and finally died in the 90s. Riders straddle a bicycle seat while restrained by over-the-shoulder harnesses. The seat height is adjustable to the rider's desired height. A drawback, however, is the heavy jolting of the head into the restraint.
Iron Wolf has, unfortunately, grown a reputation for this, hence its low-ridership in the past few years.
On August 5, Six Flags Great America announced Iron Wolf will close for removal after 9/5/11. As a result, I will be photobombing it for the remainder of the season.
