Rusting Relic

In the woods at Central Park sits an old plow, one of the last artifacts from the land's previous life as a dairy farm. This sits next to the concrete foundation for the old farmhouse. It, and the barn, were destroyed in a controlled burn sometime in the 1980s, I think.

 

I remember when these woods were totally deserted, and during the Halloween season when it was decorated and turned into the "Ghost Walk". While it's nice to see the park district finally put the land to use, it's one less interesting thing in Grayslake.
