OK, they planted the handicapped entrance here, after you are subjected to (literally) nearly a mile of queue PRIOR to this?
I have no doubts that the ridiculously-long queue was done as a result of the batshit-insane lines the previous year at Great America, when the first Batman the Ride opened.
