The Cassidy Tire Building was originally the factory and headquarters for the Tyler & Hippach Glass Company - built in 1902 by architect Henry J. Schlacks, and located at around 125 N. Clinton. The building was moved to its present location in 1908 to accommodate expansion of the nearby Chicago & Northwestern Railroad terminal.
It is currently at risk of being demolished for a 33-story tower.
