Wieboldt's

My mom worked at the Lakehurst Mall Wieboldt's in the 70s. We found her old name tag, and a Christmastime button.

Wieboldt's was a Chicago-area chain of department stores, similar to Sears. They were well-known for S&H green stamps and their excellent service. The chain filed bankruptcy and liquidated in 1986.

The Lakehurst store became briefly used as a school during the big flood, before being remodeled to a Montgomery Ward and Dunham Sports.

Tempted to wear the button to work sometime next Christmas.
