The Grueschow Company vacated this building in the 1960s, but other businesses operated within through the turn of the millennium or so, when it was then relegated to private storage. At some point the elevator shaft was lined with dozens of random signs scavenged throughout the area, which have since been removed and stacked in one of the upper floors, awaiting their fate.
Eschweiler-designed, 1927-built warehouse in one of Milwaukee's rougher neighborhoods. Soon to become the MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary.
