Wonderfalls 43-years later

When it was originally built, this court featured the ''Wonderfalls'', which are those big circular things in the ceiling. I'm not 100% positive about what exactly the Wonderfalls did but one of the things I've heard is it was a series of waterfalls that flowed upward.

 

When the mall was remodeled in the 70s the planters and Wonderfalls base was replaced with the tent that housed the ''bazaar''... those triangular concrete things seen to the left were ground anchors for the tent. This tent is where the cop cars drove in circles in the Blues Brothers. The Woolworth store also served as Depasto Oldsmobile that the Bluesmobile broke the glass to (''New Oldsmobile's are in Early This Year'')

 

In the 1990s the Woolworth building was badly torched by arson, and later a majority of it was demolished.
