Carson's -- Evergreen Park

Camera: 600SE

Lens: Mamiya 75mm 5.6

Film: Portra 400 overexposed

Carson's has stood in three different buildings through all three incarnations of the Evergreen Plaza shopping center.

The first - Carson's first branch store, period - opened in 1952 and was replaced more than a decade later by a mammoth, SOM-designed, 239,000 square-foot anchor to the newly-enclosed mall, which in about 50-years time finally withered, died and was demolished for a traditional retail strip development. Anchoring which, was this brand-new concept store topping at a modest 119,000 square feet, that opened in September 2016.

It is now another Carson's claimed to be re-opening under the entity that recently acquired the Bon-Ton Stores' brands.
