After years of running with awful shoulder restraints which caused painful headbanging: Revolution - the first modern looping roller coaster - was finally restored this season with rebuilt trains and a fresh paint job. The ride held its grand re-opening a few weeks ago, and is the first in the Six Flags chain to feature a new on-ride virtual reality experience.

 

The Revolution, which opened in 1976 and was designed by Anton Schwarzkopf, is the roller coaster both Chevy Chase and John Candy ride in National Lampoon's Vacation.
