Sisokak's Golfarama -- Beach Park, IL

Yesterday I found out one of my first explores is in demolition.

Sisolak's Golfarama (and neighboring KZK Amusements) was once a staple of Sheridan Road in Beach Park, and both of its 18-hole courses (36 total) were original stops on the so-called "Mini Masters" tournament.

Originally shuttered in 2003-ish, I got to it in the summer of 2008 when I started going to a cruise night in Winthrop Harbor. The next year the West Course was actually restored and re-opened, doing a few more years of business before closing again in 2012 and falling into a seemingly worse state of disrepair. The East Course never re-opened, as far as I know.

A photo seen yesterday shows the site, including the pictured sign, has been completely destroyed; with KZK demolished a few years ago, I figured this spot was also on borrowed time. I've released only a couple of those 2008 photographs since they were taken with a crap-tier point and shoot -- regrettably, I never went back to re-shoot, or even play it.
