Mona the One-Eyed Cat

Growing up, probably 2nd or 3rd grade, the neighbor kids spoke of this one eyed cat roaming around. Eventually we crossed paths, she was one of the sweetest cats I'd met.

 

I snapped this the next time I saw her, also the last time. I later found her owners, who told me she was found on their stoop in the pouring rain, eye already missing. She lived in the garage because the wife was allergic.
