Estes Eliminator (Astrocam hauler)

I lost the booster section for my Astrocam so I decided it was time for some better firepower; picked this up from eBay. Same BT diameter but taller and uses a stronger fin can. Also uses C11 through E motors.

 

Modified with Kevlar shock cord mount and given a proper paint job - the purple tubes with obnoxious spirals and peel-and-pray decals weren't doing it for me. I also went ahead and replaced the shutter pull-string on the Astrocam since the original was deteriorating. Latter part was not a fun project at all, but eventually I'm going to take what I've learned from it and build an instant film-based camera rocket sometime next year.

 

Currently unflown but I stocked up on D12-7's several weeks ago.
