JCPenney awaits completion in 1971. You'll notice the mall entrance is orange; Lakehurst used color-coded entrances matched with color-coded signs in the parking lot to help shoppers find their way back to their cars. These disappeared in the 1980s remodeling.
Also something to note is the JCPenney anchor is still using "Penneys" signage. This was likely one of the last new stores to use that logo, as in that same year the company changed the logo to the "JCPenney" name and logo still in use today.
