Polaroid Automatic 101 Land Camera
The 101 was released in 1964, about a year after the 100's debut. It was the original "economy model" that had most of the 100's features, but substituted the metal lensboard for plastic, had fewer film speed settings, and fewer aperture settings. A functionally-similar, "more-fashionable" 102 was also offered a bit later, but its numbers are extremely rare by-comparison.
Curiously, despite the $30 price difference, Polaroid sold close to a million-more 100's over the 101 - a feat that is explained in this 1964 promo video issued to Polaroid dealers.
Mounted to it is my Vivitar 252 e-flash - which is riding on a DIY cold shoe bracket that I made with a broken Polaroid 262 flashgun for a base, and used an eBay-special cold shoe that I paid $1.38 for. Fuck that $50 shit people are selling on eBay and whatnot... stop making this hobby more expensive than it should be.
