Karcher Hotel lobby c. 1920s

Another historic view of the former hotel lobby, likely taken right when the hotel opened in 1928. A colorized version of this view appeared in an early postcard. The balcony was then-known as the "Mez Lounge".

 

Today, this view overlooks the Karcher 405 Gallery. The handrail was restored for the Artspace restoration.
