Day 143 - Maxïmo Park
I can hardly believe that we're almost half way through the year, and this is the first gig that we have been to! Still, Maxïmo Park are always good value for it. click here to hear some of their music.
Maxïmo are Kerry's favourite band in the world ever. As a result, and quite unintentionally, I have now seen this band four times - and we're likely to see them again before the end of the year! That will equal the number of times that I have seen my favourite live band, Gogol Bordello... so i hope Gogol tour again soon to rectify the situation! ;o) (click here to hear some of Gogol Bordello's rawkus magnificence on Jools Holland's Later show. Also on the bill was a band called Stricken City who we'd never heard of before, but who were very good. Big things may very well await them.
