Splity at Sunset
Went out for a drive Friday evening as it looked like it was going to be a wonderful sunset, sone light clouds in the sky 30 mins before sundown. So off I went to the location about a mile away, set up the lights and turn back to face the shot and WTF? All the clouds had gone.
Anyway, the purpose of the shoot was to get more understanding of balancing ambient light (the sunset) with strobes (elinchrom quadra x2).
I'm not entirely happy with this shot as a) the back of the van isn't lit, b) there's hot spot reflected on the front doors, c) my attempt to light the inside of the van was a little nuclear!
But the sunset turned out ok, I learnt what NOT to do and have another process to follow next time I get out. But fun all the same, any excuse to get out :)
