Just installed Windows 7 RC on a VM machine (VMware Fusion on MacOSX). A few extra features over the initial release. (You can see word pad blessed with the execrable ribbon interface). W7 consumes a rather large amount of disk space, I had to keep dumping stuff to make room for the ever expanding vmdisk (its at 6.31 Gb at the moment). As an infrequent Windows user I'm always surprised by the number of features that seem to be necessary to stop the system getting damaged maliciously or by accident, must say Linux seems much easier. But its pretty, seems to run quite quickly, despite being very complex, and Windows market strategy (releasing it free in the first instance) is good. Lots of people can try it out a decide if its preferable to Vista.
