My 1st single origin
This is a single origin Guatemala Huehuetenango. Jordan and I got to talking about espresso, and I told him that I had no experience with single origins. Mad scientist Jordan started his production of the perfect first experience shot for me. He pulled 5 or 6 before he got it just right - making small adjustments to the exact quantity and granularity of coffee.
It was a very different taste experience. Very bright - strong tangerine/orange flavors, and then a kind of subtle finish. Wow! This is espresso? My mind has been officially blown. Love it!
Update on 9-4: Bought some Chupacabra beans for some @ home shots. Wow - I have to say that the Rocky and Silvia did a fine job in emulating my Wandering Goat experience, and that the Chupacabra was excellent. Less citrus than the Huehuetenango, and a bit smoother...
