Aliston House Exmouth - Jonathan Braddick Architect Devon
Jonathan was appointed by a developer client to produce a detailed design for this development of 11 luxury apartments. Jonathan's role involved the creation of detailed Construction drawings, finishes schedules, a detailed written NBS specification and preparation of 'Employer's Requirements' documentation for adoption by the Contractor under a bespoke Design and Build Contract.
The client retained Jonathan's services throughout the project to act as employer's agent, helping to ensure that the project progressed in accordance with the adopted 'Employer's Requirements' documentation.
Throughout the project Jonathan carried out regular site visits, inspecting and providing written reports to the client in regard to construction methods, quality of workmanship and building regulation compliance. Jonathan's role also involved working with the builder to assess and comment on any proposed substitutions in regard to specified products and finishes, ensuring that the end product was of the highest standards/quality, as set out within the Contract documentation.
The project resulted in a beautiful development of 11 bespoke, high quality, luxury residential, 2 and 3 bedroom, flats. The development responds to the site specific planning constraints and the surrounding architectural character of the area.
