Honeymoon

I was thinking of new years resolutions the other day, when I was trying to think of how to do something different with my photo biz. First of all, I hate really dislike the label “Photographer” as in, “Oh, are you a photographer??” No. I’m an engineer who happens to take pictures. (a lot of them). Second of all, with wedding season coming up, was trying to think of how I could maybe do something a little different. So I figured it out. Since I’m not bad with doing landscape/scenery/travel pictures as well as weddings, why not combine them? So I think I’m going to make the following offer to some potential wedding clients:

 

I will shoot your wedding for free, if you pay for me to come with you on your honeymoon (different hotel) and I will shoot your honeymoon for free too.

 

So you get some great shots of your wedding, but then what happens? You go on your honeymoon to some exotic, beautiful place, and you get all these snapshots with you holding your camera out. Don’t waste the best trip of your life with snapshots!

 

I’ll keep my distance, but also document your adventures, the culture, the sunsets, the kayak rentals, and then create a romantic photo shoot at sunset on the beach (like an engagement). FREE. Just pay for my flight, hotel, and ground transportation and a moderate meal allowance*
