Orange Juice

It’s Saturday morning

The kids are still in bed

Dad wakes up early

His eyes are all red

 

Time to make coffee

And a bowl of Capt. Crunch

By the time the kids get up

It’ll be time for lunch

 

Now is the time

To go and get things done

Before the kids come out

Ready to have fun.

 

Kids slowly trickle out

While Dad reads his news

Rubbing their tired eyes

And turning on Blues Clues

 

Fourth cup of coffee

Already in dad’s belly

Kids want toast and little butter

With a whole lot of jelly

 

Time to turn off the internet

The kids want to play

Time to go outside

Because today is Saturday!
