The Little Red Schoolhouse

Well here it is. My favorite shot from the trip. It’s a school house in the absolute middle of no-where Colorado. No cell phone reception or anything. I came around a curve on a national scenic highway and there it was. AND, I didn’t have to trespass to get it! Can’t say that for all the photos on this trip, and I have the barb wire scabs to prove it. But the real star here are the clouds. About an hour after this was taken I was in the middle of a huge lightning storm. A little rain fell, but I spent about an hour+ trying to capture lightning and as you can see from below, it’s not as easy as it looks. As fast as my ninja skills are, I’m still not as fast as lightning.

 

I missed my flight yesterday because I was looking at the arrival time in LA and not the departure time. Luckily my secretary bailed me out and found me a flight at the time I actually thought it was suppose to take off.
