Attached is a picture of today's march as the crowd was coming to TSU.
(Notice Chief Serpas in uniform). In attendance: Congressman Jim
Cooper, Mayor Purcell, Marilyn Robinson (NAACP), Reverend Tex Thomas,
jeff obafemi carr's key note speech was great! Invocation by Reverend
Bill Barnes (Hobson United Methodist Church) and benediction by Rev.
Joe Ingle (Nashville Peace and Justice Center) Presiding the ceremony
was Bishop George Price (President, Interdenominational Fellowship)
Noticed Señor Luis Bustillos and friend John Ayala, Raul Lopez,
Gabriela Castillo and friend Nora Torres, Danny Salazar(from Los
Kuatro) Stephen Fotopolus and wife and David Lubell. Sheriff Hall,
Karl Dean, Chief Serpas, Charles Ewing (Black Chamber of Commerce),
Charlie Caldwell, Ralph Schultz and David Ewing joined the rainy
march. Former congressman Bob Clement and candidate David Briley were
invited to seat on the stage among other guests such as Vice Mayor
Gentry, TSU President Melvin Johnson, AFL-CIO Jerry Lee and to my
surprise, me.
