hipstamatic test–2739
.
This morning I stumbled across a few photo folders from years ago. The iPhone 5 and the Hipstamatic app were new to me. I would shoot the same scene with a variety of lens filters, film filters, and flash filters. This was in the Hipstamatic era when the choice of filters was 'baked in' to the image. The filters couldn't be changed after the shot was captured. That was a feature that came later.
I had forgotten all about these folders that have shots which compare the results of these filter combinations. I'm going to have fun going through them.
I had to use Lightroom to bring some brightness back in dark areas of this, then in Photoshop some transform to correct alignments and mid tone contrast.
The Hipstamatic filter combination here was:
John S lens
Blanko Freedom 13 film
Jolly Rainbo 2X flash.
I had been fascinated back then, with how that particular flash filter actually darkened and increased contrast.
For Sliders Sunday.
