Spacious Skies
Last night I finally I got an image that matches my feelings when I go for a walk through the tallgrass prairie this time of year. I just needed some good clouds to go with it.... This is a good one to look at in the large size on black in slideshow.
I used a two-stop split neutral density filter to hold back the sky exposure here. This was the only good shot I got at this spot -- a moment earlier the foreground was in shade and much too dark and a moment later the lens flare exploded everywhere.
You'll never guess what happened next. Ok, maybe with a sky like this you might guess the sunset was really good again. It was! Maybe we do have a monopoly on all the good sunsets here... *smile*
I cloned out some flare and a radio tower on this one.
