Mid-quack
I am officially and deeply into my annual summer photography lull. It is this time of the year that the heat shuts down much of the activity. Nests are vacated and if you do get a good shot of your subject, the leaves are partially eaten/shredded from activity. Getting up early and long drives are rarely worth it. It is this time of the year, not winter, that I am counting the days to our next vacation…63 to be exact!
Here is another shot from the archives as I have been going through thousands of shots and finding a few good ones that I have not shared. Some have never been edited while others are re-edits as my software used today is far superior than that used a few years ago.
Here is a drake Wood duck, mid-quack taken at Perrin Park in Jeffersonville Indiana over five years ago and just edited.
