Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse, South Portland, Maine (30009)
Constructed in 1897, the lighthouse marks a dangerous ledge in the main shipping channel of Portland Harbor. The lighthouse is connected to the mainland by a 900 ft. long granite breakwater. I was standing on it when I took the picture. On the left, two people are exiting the lighthouse the only way possible: down an iron ladder.
