As far as the eye can see !!
The Great Wall of China.
This is undoubtedly a most impressive construction...a mighty feat of engineering. The origin comes from the fractured lines of fortification , in the third century BC & what one sees now is that constructed during the Ming dynasty (1368- 1644).
At Badalang we were offered a choice of two directions ,by our guide ......to the right was very difficult ....but to the left was more difficult !!! I took one look to see that the vast majority of visitors had gone right & , of course I went left .
Some very steep sections gave me a good `work out` but there were very few people around .....after about an hour, I had the place almost to myself .
Unfortunately it stayed fairly misty during my visit ....but at least no rain !!
