CPKC 7461 East train 230, Montpelier, Ohio_

CPKC train 230 operating on NS trackage rights from Chicago to Detroit passes through Montpelier. This was once a crossroads for the Wabash RR with the crossing of the Chicago to Toledo line with the Detroit to St Louis/Kansas City main. The Wabash Railroad was once a dominant force here with a large yard and loco servicing facility along with divisional offices.
