BB-PNLX 7471 West symbol Z631, Lick Run Tunnel - west of Millboro, Virginia_

I must say I have been caught up in the buzz created by the Buckingham Branch RR's leasing of Precision Locomotive's Western Maryland painted SD40-3. It has been nice to have something "new" to photograph in the Valley. The 7471 has been used exclusively on the Mountain Local which runs on the more scenic western portion of the BB operated former C&O line between Richmond and Clifton Forge. Here the crew is on their way to Clifton Forge with a respectable 40-car train to deliver to the CSX. They are passing through the curved 290-foot Lick Run tunnel. The two-degree superelevated curve throughout is plainly seen in this view.
