WC 713 East train T006, east of Cylon, Wis; January 7, 1990
My first known Thirsty...err I mean Thirty Thursday submission. With ALCo trucks on its feet former SOO LIne 713 smokes in unison with a pair of ex-BN SD45s as the engineer kicks'em in the ass on a rare stretch of level track on the Minneapolis Sub.
This is Twin Cities to Stevens Point train number 6 that was a mid-morning eastbound departure from suburban New Brighton and a favorite among fans. The sun was out and there was just enough snow draped upon the western Wisconsin landscape. This was one of the best chases I have ever had of a GP30, netting 10 sets. Needless to say you may see this train again on a Thursday.
