RAF North Pickenham aerial image - Norfolk

Opened in 1943. Designed as a Class A bomber airfield. Used by the USAAF from 1944. Designated as Station 143. Home to B24 Liberators.

Returned to the RAF after WW2. In the 1950s it was home to Thor Intermediate-Range Ballistic Missiles (IRBM)

Closed as a military airfield in 1967.
