Happisburgh aerial image - Norfolk coastline
Aerial view of Happisburgh on the Norfolk coast.
There were two lighthouses here from 1791. The 'low light' lighthouse was built on the cliff top and had to be removed because of the coastal erosion in 1883. Only the 'high light' seen above remains. It is the only independently operated lighthouse in the UK and may only have another 30 years or so until it has to be taken down.
