Smiting the suburbs

My first try at capturing lightning. If you're in the right place at the right time, it's not too difficult. ;-) The thunderstorm came in right over our house. All I had to do was set up on the tripod, set the camera on bulb, and kept the shutter open for 10-15 seconds at a time until there was a strike.
