Tibet brought to life an old childhood book for me. When I was in middle school, I read the books "Clan of the Cave Bear" and "Valley of the Horses." The books described these beautiful vistas with roaming herds of horses and other animals. The books were set in Ice Age Europe, but something about the unexpected natural surprises in Tibet reminded me of those books. In particular, I remember a scene when the heroine comes across the valley full of horses where she later settles. When I saw this vista, I felt like I found the living scene.
