Strowman Vs Kane

BRAAAAUUUUN!

What a journey this guy has had. Starting as the quiet monster of the Wyatt family, and ending up becoming THE most destructive force on the WWE roster today. It's not like the current roster is full of small dudes either. Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar are currently on Raw and Strowman could EASILY stand up to them. He's a fan favourite and one who has given us MANY amazing moments this past year. Did Mattel perfect his debut figure release? Well, let's take a look and see.

Monster among Men

This figure is part of Basic Series 64 (we're currently in Series 79!) and as you can imagine, a fair few releases of him have been and gone since. The most notable difference is his face. When this first came out it really did look spot on. It wasn't perfect, but it was a good resemblance. Years (& series) later, and BOY has it not aged well. He looks more like Hagrid than he does anything else. It's crazy! but, there are worse figures out there and he does pass...but only just. The rest of him, however, IS pitch perfect. I love the detail on his belt buckle (small things like that make all the difference) and his pants have been nailed too. It even has that weird black patch in the crotch area that makes him look like he was too late for the toilets. The tattoos are a little scratchy, but to be fair, so are his actual designs too.

Conclusion

Yes, there are definitely better/more up to date figures out there, but that doesn't mean this is terrible. It's a good sturdy chunky figure and it really does tower above the rest. If like me you only get 1 figure of each wrestler, then I'd I'd be tempted to go for a newer release. But if you want an army of Strowmans, or be able to look back at his evolution, then getting this is a must.
