A friend gave me this photo. It was in his parents' collection, though neither of them had taken it. The subjects are a mystery. I think of them as husband-and-wife journalists, a little competitive, but also very supportive of each other. I wonder: Did they put their typing desks in front of the fireplace for the photo, or is this how they worked each day?
