Day One Hundred Seventy Three
On Father's Day I asked the girls if they wanted to goto the dollar store. The Girl said only if I bought her something. And that was the point because well, it's only a buck.
So we get to the store and Mouse Girl true to fashion picks out a variety pack of cereal. Leaving The Girl to go up and down the aisle eventually settling on a battery operated tiara.
With a dollar and some change in each of their hands, they made their way to the cashier and that's when The Girl stopped in her tracks and saw these drink umbrellas and just had to have them. I explained that they weren't toys but toothpicks. Of course she could have cared less and came out of the store with these instead.
On the ride home she then began to notice that they would fall apart after she had opened and closed them a number of times. Towards the end of the day she lost interest in them as she turned her attention to Mouse Girl's packs of cereal. To which Mouse Girl exclaimed, "No Ate, this mine!
And thus the umbrellas makes for the subject of today's photo before I send them off to the recycling bin.
