Day Seventy Two
"I like to watch everybody gravitate towards you. Your magnetic presences make them come thru" - Getting Up : Q-Tip
In general, my camera is in manual, with spot meter linked to my selected focus point. Auto focus is triggered by the AF-On button (not that half press shutter non-sense). But sometimes I just can't move all those dials quick enough if the girls are doing something next to me that I want to photograph.
So I've enabled the ISO safety shift on my camera and place that on the exposure lock button (*). if I slide my thumb over to the right and depress the * button instead, the camera switches modes to Tv (shutter priority) of 1/500, evaluated metering and the camera will then select the aperture and ISO to expose the shot correctly and quickly. As soon as I release it, the camera reverts back to my general shooting mode.
What does that have to do with today's photo. Well I shot this in manual but Mouse Girl was doing her things as well. So I alternated between the two girls with just a press of a button. It's like 2 cameras in 1.
