Light book
Another daily where a bunch of us on twitter picked a common theme and today's theme is book(s). I had a few ideas in my head that I wanted to do but the one I wanted didn't pan out (you know how professional models can get).
So for this shot I decided to take out a photo book (Stoppees' Guide to Photography & Light) about lighting and place a speedlight right on top of it. What is funny/sad is the speedlight actually fell and broke the plastic stand. Good thing I had a spare!
Strobist info:
1 580EX II Group A Master/Disabled on camera used as trigger
1 550EX Group A 1/16 power shoot through umbrella camera right
1 430EX Group B 1/8 power snoot/grid aimed at 580EX II on book camera left
1 580EX II Group C 1/128 power sitting right on the book
Camera settings:
1/250 f/8 ISO400
Lens used:
Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM
Setup shot can be found here
