Don't Sweat the Technique setup shot
If I learned anything from yesterday's shoot, it's to shoot earlier or later in the day instead of mid day so my flashes wouldn't have to work as hard!
Plus I learn to put myself in the shade as well so that I wouldn't have to fight with the bare sun. It's hot in that helmet!
With the sun at my back I placed a 430EX and a 550EX on either side to provide some rim light. I actually forgot a stand so I balanced the 550EX on a road barrier. For key a 580EX II was placed on a stand off axis from me.
Camera on tripod, self timer, flashes fired via Cactus V2s.
Strobist info:
1 580EX II (key) 1/4 power high camera left
1 430EX (rim) 1/4 power far camera left
1 550EX (rim) 1/4 power camera right
Completed shot can be found here.
